Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

Diabetes, Blood pressure, Cholesterol, Smoking, heredity are a few of the many causes for this.
The same disease might be affecting both the heart and brain / the brain may also be secondary to embolism or thrombolytics...
He needs continued assessment and assistance / Only the treating doctor can give further advice

Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
