Cramps, Bleeding, Sexually Active. Pregnant?

Hi I am 18 years of age,, and I am currently sexually active... I had my period the first of the month and have a normal 28 day cycle but today which is the 17th I was woken out of my sleep with painful cramps, and additional bleeding, light bleeding only when I wipe no need for tampons or anything and is bright red... Im nervous that i could be pregnant.. What could this be???

The mild bleeding that you are having at the middle of the cycle along with cramps is not suggestive of pregnancy. It can be related to an ovulation or a mild hormonal disturbance.
