Could Weakness In The Legs And Chronic Pain Be Due To Levothyroxine?

My husband takes levothyroxine for hasimotos disease. He is having severe pain and weakness of both legs. I worked in the medical field for 48 years. I had patients tell me they could not take levothyroxine due to side effects, but synthroid helped them without the side effects. Could his leg weakness and pain be caused by levothyroxine?

Hi,

If his thyroid status is well controlled, The Levothyroxine does not cause major side effects like leg weakness.

Hope I have answered your query.
