Could Throbbing Pain In Head Be Due To High Blood Pressure?

I started taking Vyvanse again and since yesterday the veins on the side of my head started to almost throb- now I have pressure and can feel my pulse pounding through them esp when I rest my finger tips on my temples. I called the pharmacy-(Walgreens) I was told to sit still and try to relax- I m a little frightened and I am going to sip some chamomile tea- I m sure my blood pressure is off the gauge- I have never had high blood pressure

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

I understand your concern and would explain that your symptoms could be related to Vyvanse adverse effects. I recommend you to closely monitor your blood pressure values and avoid physical activity.

If your blood pressure values are high, I would recommend trying to stop Vyvanse.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
