Could The Pus Discharge From The Cut Be Due To Gangrene?

my finger hurts and my moms not home right now. and to top it all off, she wont pick up her phone. i normally dont fret over hurt fingers but i thought i saw a little green spot in my finger. im horriably afraid. i dont want it to be gangrene. it hurts and its warmer than any of my other fingers and im not sure if its been cut lately. and some wierd puss came out of it. im really afraid

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
I went through your description and you need not be scared as it does not appear to be gangrene.
It is just a finger cut injury followed by an infection leading to discolouration and oozing out of pus like material.
You can get it treated on out-patient basis by getting wound dressing done by using antiseptic solution. Also you need to take a course of antibiotics with anti-inflammatory analgesic medications.
Gradually, the cut wound would heal by closure from inside by generating healthy granulation tissue.
