Could the pain in the twisted ankle be due to a broken bone or sprain?

Hi I rolled my ankle while playing basketball and heard a pop, and I couldn t walk on it for a few minutes but then it seemed to only hurt a little and I continued playing later that night. However, it has been 5 days and it is still swollen but it doesn t hurt very much. My main concern is on the outside of my ankle, right above where you have the ankle joint that bumps out, there is an indentation in my bone and this indentation is not felt on the other leg so I m wondering if it is broken or sprained or what is wrong? I can walk normally without pain for the most part but I have not tried running if that helps.
