Could The Pain In The Chest And Shortness Of Breath Be A Symptom Of Lung Collapsing?

I had lobectomy a month and a half ago. getting ready to return to work but find that I am easily winded with the samllest task and now I am experiencing chest pain and shortnest of breath. I also hurts to breathe. Could this be a symtom of my lung collasping?

Yes, all these symptoms can be due to lung collapse.
Since you recently had lobectomy, other possibilities are also there.
Possibility of pleural effusion due today surgical leak, pneumonia, tuberculosis etc are there.
So better to consult pulmonologist and get done
1. Clinical examination of respiratory system.
2. Chest x ray
3. CT thorax if needed.
