Could The High Platelet Count Be The Cause Of Depression And Stress?

Hi, I have had a high platelet count b/t 460-620 for about 3 years. Is this normal? I have suffered with chronic depression and stress- can those be factors? The only other out of range blood count was my esinophils. My red blood cells are within range but on lower end and my white blood cells are within in range but on upper end.

Welcome to H.C.M.
My dear friend your platelets count is slightly high.Patients with this platelets count are usually asymptomatic. No need to worry. There are not any relation with slightly high platelets, eosinophils and depression /stress.You did not mention your eosinophil count.I suggest you that reduce your stress with some mental relaxing exercise, meditation and yoga. You can also consult with psychiatrist for depression and stress if yoga and meditation not help you.
Thanx for query.Always welcome for further question.
