Could The Blisters And Rashes With Itching And Burning Due To A Chemical Reaction To Old Iron?
Im at a loss of who to ask.. my best friend of 20 years has been smoking crystal meth for three months .. from what i know... last week she was out at her grandparents and was cleaning the metal out of an old junk pile with old metal and old glass bottles and all kinds of stuff and was digging thru the dirt and her forearms started burning and itching... later when she washed up the burning and itching got worse. that evening she got a little blister and a rash it continued to turn into a big swollen bump the size of a golf ball under the skin that was hard as a rock and was bigger everyday with brown looking blisters and the rash but we sont know if its from smoking the ice or something else like maybe a chemical or acid or something that may have been in the dirt with the old metal and junk ..
It may be irritant contact dermatitis with a secondary bacterial infection. Consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment. I would recommend you to take a course of antibiotic and antiinflammatory drugs. Apply antibiotic cream like gentamicin.
