Could The Bleeding In The Mid Of The Month Be Due To Implantation?

I started a BC pack for the first time 26 days ago. My boyfriend and I had a lot of intercourse about 4-6 days ago and 11 days ago. I started noticing a single drop of red discharge 2 days ago. I've had one drop each day. This evening, it was like the start of my period - more heavy. But my period isn't due for another 9 days. Could it be implantation? Could I be pregnant? The BC package says after 7 days you are safe, but I don't know if this is spotting from the pills or implantation bleeding. I'm freaking out right now. Please, help. I plan on waiting for my period, which the package says could be irregular the first 1-3 months, and then taking a pregnancy test, but I can't sleep now and I have 9 days to go....

Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this disturbing thoughts. From the information you have provided, it is less likely that you are pregnant while on BC. This spotting would be more of adjustments to the new BC pack than an implantation bleed. Stay relaxed and don't be too worried.

Please, BC does not protect against sexually transmitted diseases. Always consider using a condom during intercourse to protect yourselves.

I hope this addresses your query fully. Thank you so much for using our services and do feel free to ask for more clarification or information if need be. I wish you well.
