Could Swelling And Pain In Shoulder That Radiates Down To Arm And Neck Be Due To Bursitis?

I fell a month ago & fell on my left side, I have been having intense shoulder pain & swelling since then , I thought it could be Bursitis, because if it gets cold it hurts worse, it radiates down my arm & up my neck. It s very Painful. what should I do? Do you think it can be Bursitis? I have put Ben Gay & other ointments on it, it helps ,even goes away for awhile & then comes back. Jane

Hi
I dont doubt it to be bursitis because it pain does not radiate much.
First of all you get shoulder x ray done to rule out any fracture and if its normal have ice application and shoulder binder and give rest for a week.
If still you have pain then you need to get mri shoulder done to rule out any other pathology.
Get well soon.
Thank you.
