Could Swelling And Pain In Shin Be Due To Fracture?

Ten days ago I took a bad fall and landed on my shins on the concrete. There seems to be some fluid on my shins now and a strange numbness. Also they are still very tender to the touch and very painful. I can not kneel. A slight bump to them is very painful. Is it possible my shin bones are fractured?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, i do care for your concern.
Do to fall there may be two type of injuries, first there may be soft tissue injury or bone injury.
The injury to bone can be confirmed by getting an X-ray done.
I would advise to see an ortho doctor and get X-ray done, and pain killers that might help you.
adequate rest is necessary in your condition.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
