Could Stinging Sensation In Arm Be A Result Having Blood Drawn?

I gave blood yesterday and when the needle was inserted into my arm I felt a stinging/burning sensation down my forearm, closer to my wrist. I did not feel any discomfort at the site of the needle but rather in another location so i was wondering what caused that. It still feels slightly sore in that area.

Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your clinical history and query, my opinion is as follows:
1. The discomfort at other location could not be related to needle insertion.
2. If it is at the wrists, other lesions like median nerve entrapment needs to be ruled out.
3. You can meet an orthopedics surgeon for further evaluation.

Any further queries, happy to help again.
I find this answer helpful
