Could Smoking Pot While Being Pregnant Affect The Child?

Hi. I am 30 weeks pregnant and smoked pot for yesterday for the first time since I found out I was pregnant at 7 weeks because I had a migraine. No excuse for smoking, but now I am wondering if there will be thc in my baby s stool from the one time smoking. I am not going to smoke again I am just wondering if there is a chance that it will be out of her system by birth. Thank you for your answer in advance.

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
Smoking pot or marijuna during pregnancy can lead to some adverse effects.
Like:
-Low birth weight babies
-Babies with lower IQ, behavioral problems etc.
-Physical abnormalities etc.

Apart from these it can affect mother's health also.
As you have taken only one dose, there may not be any major problems.
But regular antenatal checkups and ultrasound examinations are needed to monitor the baby growth.
Avoid exposure to pot in future.
Take care,
