Could Small, Dark Brown Spots On Back And Arms Be Just Moles?
I believe I have tinea versicolor. I am trying to treat it. Anyways, I noticed that I have developed small dark brown spots about the size of an eraser overnight. They are on my back and possibly my arms. Just a few. I am 28 male. Are these just moles developing?
Hi. As per your case history you are pityriasis versicolor. My treatment advice is - 1. Maintain good hygiene and bath twice daily. 2. Apply an antifungal cream like clotrimazole cream twice daily on it. 3. Take a vitamin c supplement once daily for 3 months. 4. Other treatment options are oral fluconazole, itraconazole and terbinafine taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
Thanks. Dr. Harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
