Could Severe Pain In Wrist Radiating To Forearm Indicate Sprained Bone?
I fell off a Golf Cart doing about 20 mph. Took two steps and fell to my arms to break my fall. I had immediate pain to my arm and wrist and heard a few pops. I felt intense pain to the point of almost blacking out. I went to the doctor for an x-ray 2 weeks ago and no bones were broken. I am not able to twist my arm without immediate pain from the wrist into my forearm and then it radiates into my bicep. I do not want to get an MRI yet due to this may be just a sprain but, the pain is intense at times of use and I am unable to lift 20 lbs without my wrist and arm wanting to give out. I did not have any bruising and very minimal swelling. What could this be?

Trauma to the forearm and wrist could lead to fracture, sprain or strain.
I suggest you to get a repeat X-ray because fractures of carpal bones may not show up immediately after injury and may appear on x-ray after few days.
If still no fracture is detected then this is probably soft tissue injury like sprain or strain.
Depending on the clinical status, immobilization may be required.
Immobilization is required even in sprains or strains.
In the meanwhile pain killers and hot fomentation will be required to relieve the pain and to provide symptomatic relief.
I suggest you to consult an orthopedician for further management.
