Could Reddish Brown Discharge With Stinging Urination Mean UTI?

Hi, I just had my period about a week ago, but I m still finding what looks like blood in my underwear. It s kind of a reddish-brown color, close to the color of cola, and when I wipe, it s on the toilet paper. It also stings when I pee. Could this be the start of a urinary tract infection? If it is, what should I do?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Likely to be a vaginal infection with urinary tract infection.

Plenty of liquids, urinary alkalizer, vitamin C supplements and supportive antibiotic as fluoroquinolones to avoid secondary manifestations.

Vaginal hygiene will play a key major role in this regard.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel,
General Surgeon
