Could Recurring Stomach Pain Be Due To Gall Bladder Stones?

HI Doctor. I have had stomach problems for bout 5 years now. It comes and goes every 5-6 weeks and consists of pain in the upper and lower abdomen and lasts for about 24 hours. I have had all tests such as endoscope, ectoscope and laproscopy and scans and nothing came up and the pain is unbearable. And last night I went to A&E for the pain and got another scan and they said I have gallstones. I was wondering, could the pain I have had all these years have been related to my gallbladder and just been missed in earlier scans?

hi.
thank you for posting query.

gall stone related pain is usually in right upper abdomen just below the right rib cage ( coastal margin).
Ultrasound may confirm gall stone location and size.

meet treating physician and/or general surgeon for further course of action.

wish you good and sound health
regards
Dr Tayyab Malik
