Could Recurring Fever, Headache And Cough Be Due To Flu Or Heart Related Issues?

I have a 9 year old son with a heart condition.he has had a fever on and off for the past week.sometimes he s burning up and other times he s cold to the touch. He s been suffering from headaches,he s pale and has darkish/red circles under his eyes and has been coughing on and off.Could it just be the flu or cold or could it be heart related?

Hi,
Welcome to Hcm,
The symptoms you mentioned can be due to flu or any viral upper respiratory infection or also due to a bacterial infection like a pneumonia. Very unlikely its related to heart condition. Although I am not aware of what condition he has but symptoms you mentioned doesn't make me think in lines of any fresh heart problem. You will have to consult a doctor for a complete examination and chest xray. Hope I answered your query. Happy to clear any further doubts. Take care.
