Could Rectal Bleeding Be Related To Duodenitis Or Liver Problem?

Small spots where found on my liver, i have had abdominal pain and was told i have doudenintist. Now i have rectal bleeding. Is this due to my liver or duodentisit? I only found out about the liver cause i requested my medical records. Is this common practice for doctors to hold this kind of information?

Hi,welcome to healthcaremagic forum.
Bleeding from duodenitis(commonly duodinal ulcer) can happen. But it will not come as red bleeding. It presents as brown-black colored stools.
Regarding liver disease,it can cause rectal bleeding. But it occurs only in chronic liver disease with cirrhosis. It is unlikely the cause for your bleeding(cirrhosis is associated with abdominal distension, pedal edema, very poor apatite etc for long duration-months to years-then only it can cause rectal bleeding).Your bleeding is most likely due to hemorrhoids or rectal ulcer. You can freely discuss these issues with your doctor.Thank you.
