However, since yours was an unprotected sex, therefore, I would suggest a visit to a sexual health clinic for counselling and appropriate testing for possible STD s at appropriate intervals. As a treating doctor, for bacterial folliculitis, I would have started you on an empirical course of an oral antibiotic for a week. An antibiotic from the penicillin group e.g flucloxacillin or cephalexin would do the job for you. Topically you may use an OTC topical antibacterial e.g 2% mupirocin ointment, twice daily.
