I have pounding in my ears when I l lie down. I have recently had a cold, but I can breathe fine. Could there be sinus blockage? I , also, was exercising on the elliptical and had neck pain. I am wondering if the pounding is from a pinched nerve? I have been to the emergency room for a sudden sensation like a blow to the back of the head( 3 days ago)and the physician ordered a cat scan which showed everything to be fine. He did say that the cat scan is 90% accurate, but there is a 10% chance that there could be a hemorrhage and that only a spinal tap could show. I declined to have it done. What do you think
