Hi,

As per your query you have symptoms of soreness in the throat after giving oral sex which seems to be due probably due to improper cleanliness of genitalia.

You should visit the ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should go for the throat swab test and get blood tests done and start treatment after proper diagnosis. Avoid intake of outside food and stop doing oral sex for some time.

Avoid spicy and salty food substances. You should do warm saline gargles. The doctor may also refer you to an oral pathologist.

You should take anti allergic medication such as Levocetirizine. Take proper course of antibiotic along with mucolytic agents.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,

I am a female and my boyfriend performed oral sex on me for the first time, I have never had a sexual partner before him therefore certain I do not have an STD. The day after this happened he started complaining about a sore throat that is only getting worse. Could the oral sex have anything to do with this or could he have just gotten a strep virus from some other source?

Yesterday I gave my significant other oral sex. I ve been trying to lessen my gag reflex with my toothbrush the last few days, so when I took him in I could take him in a lot farther then usual. I gave him oral for a very long time & I did gag a lot from taking it in too far. My throat didn t hurt right afterwards but this morning it hurt SO much! It hurt to talk a lot, to laugh, to swallow, to burp & to cough. It even hurt to breathe... Could I have caused severe damage or did I just over do it? Also could he have given me an infection!?

My boyfriend experienced a sore throat, two days after giving me oral sex. He doesn t know the cause of him getting that, but I m sure it s my fault. He says he hasn t done anything else out of the ordinary those few days before. His symptoms were, his tongue got a orange like color to it, it hurt when he tried consuming things, and his tonsils were swollen. He has given me oral before, so I don t understand. But, I have done things differently , this time, I just started to use this new coconut body wash (I don t think that s the problem though), I didn t shave as much as I usually would, and I urinated twice , hours before that happened. Could that have been the cause? I m just really scared. He s been sick for about a week.I know I don t have any diseases, I m a virgin. He says he s been getting a little better though. But, is there other things that can help him get better? Could I possibly have caused his sickness? I m not sure.

I'm a 48 year old white male, around 205 pounds (weight is up & down by 5 pounds), had a 4 level lumbar fusion in 2006, was very active to that point. The surgery, although made my spine stable, left me with a lot of nerve pain. In 2007, I was diagnosed with asthma, there was plural fluid in the right lung. So I'm battling both pain and asthma, with fluid build up some. More recently, I had swelling of the ankles & feet, was seen by a heart specialist, after a complete set of tests, my heart was fine. I've been on Furosemide 40mg for fluid (since 12/10), it was somewhat under control.
The last week or so, my ankles & feet, as well as my lower legs, are swelling again (worse), even though I'm on the water pill mentioned above. I don't know what to do, I go to the doctor, my blood counts looks good, prior to going to the heart doctor, I had to go to the ER for what amounted to be severe constipation, high white blood cell counts were noted. My legs are also tingly.
What can I do?
