Could Numbness And Pain In Fingers Be Due To Cut?

Hi I cut, on glass, between my middle finger and ring finger of my right hand a few weeks ago and as a result had a numb side to my finger And pain. I had X-rays incase there was any glass left in the cut and subsequently had hand surgery a week ago as was thought I had damaged the nerve but the nerves were intact, I m still healing and due to have stitches out Friday but my finger side is still numb, occasionally feels tingly burning type sensation? And slight pain in the numb side? (I m bandaged up from surgery so restricted movement at the moment) When I cut my hand the glass was deeply embedded and there was a lot of blood? I just don t know why it s numb?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Dear,
Ur history is suggesting about possible tiny superficial nerve ending damage which is leading to numbness...it will go away slowly and it can take upto 3-4 months to recover completely.
I will suggest you to wait for a while to get it improve and than consult an gen. Surgeon.
Thanks
