Could Lesions In Vagina Be Due To Tampon Or Sanitary Pad Allergy?
I have noticed that every month during my menstrual cycle--but mostly when I wear tampons--my vagina develops either small lesions where ever the string rests outside of my vagina. it is red and a little itchy, but not open wounds. Can this be an allergic reaction to my tampons or sanitary pads?
If these lesions appeared only when you wear tampons this is called a contact dermatitis. The best treatment is to stop the use of tampons or sanitary pads. All the best
