Could Large Pimples On Face Be The Symptom Of Acne Vulgaris?

Hello sir...i have a friend...she is a girl about 21 years old..she has some pimples on her face.....but recently those pimples are getting more bigger and bigger and there is some swallow condition near cheek and neck. One of my friend told me that after seing her picture he told that this is a disease tha called acne valgaris. My question is that what is this disease ??.

I am Dr.Saddiq ul Abidin. I have read you question completely, i understand your concern and will try to help you in best way possible.

This is a akin disease in which multiple comedones and pus filled bumps are formed on the skin which are usually red and inflamed. This is most common on the face however can also appear on the upper chest and neck.
According to latest guidelines topical retinoids and antimicrobials are the first line treatment available which show great response. However surgical interventions can also be done which includes intralesional steroid injections. That is steroid injections in the base of pimple.
