Could Itchy, Red Welts In The Upper Arm Be A Reaction To Pneumonia Shot?

I have a very large red welt on my front upper left arm, started yesterday. Now there seems to be a few more smaller ones going around the arm. I had a pneumonia shot last Sat. in that location and was wondering if it could be a reaction to that. Its slightly itchy

Yes, it is a possible that it is a reaction to the immunization.

The use of an oral antihistamine and mild topical steroid may be helpful .
Eg of antihistamines are benadryl, claritine, zyrtec, allegra etc

Mild topical steroids such as hydrocortisone would be available over the counter that would also be able to help.

If there is no improvement, it would be best to see your doctor for assessment.
