Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries

I can understand your concern. You have stopped alcohol about 2 years back. You were drinking 8-10 cups of coffee daily and this was a high dose, and then you reduced the coffee to 3-6 cups per day. The frequent dizzy spells you are having can be explained by both your alcohol intake and coffee drinking based upon the history you have mentioned. Even after years of quitting alcohol individuals may continue to show restlessness and anxiety. This restlessness occurs due to protracted withdrawal. So that restlessness is causing the dizzy spells you are having. Intake of heavy coffee use is aggravating it. In normal person body can control the restlessness and dizziness but heavy coffee intake is increasing the severity and you are having these dizzy spells. So I would advise you to relax yourself to prevent these dizzy spells and also reduce the coffee intake to some extent so that these spells dont get worse.

Even if after reducing coffee these symptoms persist then consult psychiatrist for help.

Thanks, Hope this helps you. Take care
