Could Inserting A Tampon Lead To Disturbance In Vision?

Hello, so today I inserted a tampon (not the first time) and 5 minutes later I felt like I was going to be sick, I just ignored it and then I got suddenly very very warm and was sweating, I went to the toilet but my vision slowly started to go black and I was disorientated, dizzy and a bit confused and oblivious to what was happening like I was asleep, I then briefly blacked out, I got up and went and sat outside until my vision slowly came back (about 5 minutes it took) I also had ringing in my ears. After this episode I had a headache so I took a paracetamol and was fine so I carried on with my day as normal. Will this happen next time I insert a tampon? What happened to me? Some advice would be amazing! I m a young teen.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It is not related to a tampon.

If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.

An MRI scan is required for further assessment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
