Could Inflamed Cervix Cause Delay In Periods?

HI Dr, i ve recently had a pap smear and have a inflamed cervix i was sexually active a week after that without protection, so far i have done a pregnancy test once and it was negative...my period is late by a week, could the inflamed cervix cause the delay of my period??

Delayed period may not be due to the inflammation of cervix but this could be due to hormone imbalance and may due to age if you are above 35 years of age but this is nothing to worry, hope this information helps.
