Could I Pregnant With Brown Spotting After A Negative Result On The Pregnancy Test?

Hi, period is late by a week (never happened before), brown spotting, clear discharge and home pregnancies tests (two done) have come back negative. I have had cramping for over a week now and always think my period will arrive but it didn t. Could I be pregnant?

Hello, I would be happy to help you with your question.

If the pregnancy test is negative, then you are not pregnant. This can be confirmed with a blood test, but is probably unnecessary. For some reason you have had a significant delay in ovulation. Mid cycle, when women ovulate, they get cramping, clear discharge and sometimes bleeding that makes its way out as a brownish discharge. My guess is that you will get your period within 1-2 weeks. If not, see your OB/GYN.

I hope that this helps and good luck!
