Could I Have An Infection Or STD Inspite Of Brown Spotting?

I've been with my significant other for 7 years. we"re very committed to each other. we've never had an std or anything of that sort.
but here's my story… i had unprotected sex on the 12th of february so i bought the plan b pill because i didnt want to be pregnant but before taking the pill i had unprotected sex again on the 14th of february. i ended up taking the pill on the 15th of february in the morning. i was supposed to get my period on the 22nd but all i got was brown spotting that day i was supposed to get it. a week went by and i spotted again. i didn't think anything of it until a few days later when i started to spot again and now I've been spotting for 2 weeks. what is causing this spotting? I'm afraid, could i be pregnant? could i have an infection or std?
forgot to mention i took a pregnancy test on friday and it turned out negative but still i need answers

Hello there.
I take it you need answers but there are a few questions that need be asked in addition to what you have stated from your end. I do understand you have a 'committed' partner but is this the same person that you had unprotected sex with on 12th & 14th or were they 2 different people? Should it be the 'committed' partner in both instances, then an STD can safely be ruled out.
As for the spotting, it could very well be an 'implantation' bleed & even if the regular pregnancy test (assuming you used a 'home-kit') came out 'negative', I would be sceptical. Please go to a laboratory/clinic near your place & do a B-HCG blood test which will not only tell you if pregnant or not; it will also give you a 'titre' that will help you take this to a logical conclusion one way or the other.
Good Luck & Godspeed!
