Could I Be Pregnant With A Brown Discharge After Unprotected Sex?
I just switched birth control 2 weeks ago. i was on nexplanon for a year, i had very irregular periods. couple months i wouldn't have one sometimes id have one twice a month sometimes i would bleef for 2-3 weeks. so i never could calculate when id be ovulating. Well i just switched to birthcontrol the pill form I've been on it for 2 weeks & forgot & missed a few doses already. anyways i had unprotected sex and 2 days later i had cramping and a little brown discharge and now on the 3rd day i still feel cramping. could this be implantation bleeding? Or am i just getting my period ? Or is it from switching birth control ? Plus i just started pills from my dermatologist the same day i noticed the cramping and discharge....plzzzz help me
Hello, I would be happy to help you with your question.
It is very unlikely that you are pregnant. The nexplanon will make ovulation extremely irregular as it wears off and the fact that you were on the pill at all, regardless of the missed doses, decreases this risk even further. The cramping and brown discharge might be normal cycle related events. For example, women having cramping and a slight amount of bleeding mid cycle when they ovulate - this is not uncommon. You definitely need to check a pregnancy test now and again in 2-3 weeks.
I hope that this helps and good luck!
