Could I Be Pregnant If I Missed Just One Asmita Pills?
hi i am taking asmita pills from first day of my menstrual cycle . i consumed 14 pills and missed 15th pill.I did not consume the same within 12 hours. i continued taking rest of the pills.i had unprotected sex on 16th day .Is there any possibility of me getting pregnant

Hi,thanks for query.If you taking pills for more then 2 months and only one day the pill is missed,in the most the cases no problem occurs.You should consider your self unprotected if you miss more than 2 tablets continuously.Please take care and take tablets regularly,bye.

Asmita is a combination of Drospirenone & Ethinyl Estradiol.
Drospirenone is a synthetic progestin that is typically used in birth control. There have been concerns raised regarding its safety and is thus not recommended as a first line agent.
Ethynylestradiol is a derivative of estradiol. Ethynyl estradiol is an orally bio-active estrogen used in almost all modern formulations of combined oral contraceptive pills.
They are potent contraceptives and protect from getting pregnant. Both have a half life period of more than 30 hrs. Which means they are present in your blood for more than 30 hrs and act as contraceptives.
In your case you are really safe and there is no chance to get pregnant.

this cobinatin of contraceptive has half life time period of about 30 hrs so it remains in blood for 30 hrs so there is no chances of geting pregnant further if u've any doubt in furture take i pill with in 72 hrs of unprotected sex.
