Could Having Swelling And Pain From Knee To Ankle After Twisted Knee Be Due To ACL Tear?

I had a premedical condition I had a hairline tear on my ACL and my doctor recommended me to not have surgery and stay off my knee I tore my left knee ACL so I got a knee brace and crutches after a couple of months I was fine no pain no swelling. Now I just twisted my knee and the swelling and pain is 10x worse the pain shoots down to my ankle and back up. Is this ACL tear for sure?

Hi
Its difficult for me to say for sure without clinical exam to say that iys acl tear again.
But what you do is apply a crepe bandage over knee to ankle and apply ice every 2hours. And have non weight bearing for 1 wk if pain and swelling does not subside get mri knee done.
Get well soon.
Thank you.
