Could Flu Symptoms, Coughs, Phlegm, Pain In Tragus Be Related To Tragus Piercing?

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history related to your daughter getting piercing the tragus and going into fainting attack.
This is so as the vagus nerve got stimulated and hence the problem.
It is possible that she was already having the flu which got activated with the vaso-vagal syndrome.
Due to the reduced body resistance the other symptoms of edema of tragus and constitutional symptoms got activated to give coughing, phlegm and so on.
I would advise you the following:
To get started with antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicines alongwith cough syrups .
Remove any rings in the tragus if still wearing.
Get a bed rest for early recovery.
Steam inhalation
Consult a Doctor to get a clinical evaluation, examination and prescription for proper medicines.
