Could Exposure To Bleach Fumes Be A Matter Of Concern?

I was mopping at work this evening & mixed liquid comet & bleach, an excessive amount. When I mixed it with water to start mopping, the fumes about blinded me. I couldn t open my eyes for about 2 minutes and it was very hard to breathe. Am I in any sort of serious danger, should I go to the emergency room? It has been an hour and my eyes and nose are back to normal, I feel normal but I am paranoid! Please help

General & Family Physician 's  Response
hello,
i can understand your concern.
you need not worry since you do not have any symptoms related to the exposure.
but in case you have any symptoms like burning, redness of eyes, difficulty in breathing, drowsiness i would advise you to immediately report to the emergency room for management of this.
a lubricating eye drops like refresh tears would be helpful.
if burning and redness are present it can be managed by a short course of steroid drops.
hope i have answered your queries.
feel free to ask further queries.
thanks for choosing HCM
