Hello.Welcome to HCM forum.Your eating of peanuts or cashew nuts, that too excessively, may result in increasing cholesterol but has no relation with your hemorrhoids.Consult a surgeon for the treatment. Thanks and good luck.
Peanuts and cashewnuts definately wont contribute to haemorrhoids but high fibre rich sources especially peanuts are helpful in preventing and healing Haemorrhoids. And with regards to cholesterol there is definite raise with peanuts and cashewnuts.
My 2 year old woke up screaming last night. I changed her bum (because she had pooed) and noticed that her bum cheeks were bright red raw and looked very sore. It obviously hurt her while I was wiping her bum. I put cream on her but the problem is still the same today. It doesn t look any better. She has not had this before and wondered what could have caused it and what I can do to fix it. I m not sure whether this is relevant but she ate peanuts yesterday at a party which she doesn t normally eat.
I have never had allergies before, up until this year (some sinus issues on and off, but nothing major). About 4 months ago I had a few episodes were my eyes got very itchy and dry on and off and a few times I had some eye symptoms...minor swelling of the right upper eyelid , twice had a bubble which looked like a mosquito bite form under the eye (one time each eye) and another time I woke up with small to medium size bag under my left eye. Each time I felt fine other than the small amount of swelling and each time it was only in one eye, never both. In fact, most times I didn t realize until I went and looked in the mirror and then got scared after seeing the small amount of swelling. I also saw an eye doctor last fall after the first issue with it and the covering of my left eyeball was slightly fluid filled, which he said was due to an irritant and nothing to worry about. We had also found some black mold in our basement at that time that a plumber opened up the ceiling (so conceivably, some of these mold spores may have come out into the air...I had had no issues before this). I am now about 120 pounds (was 140 before I lost the weight) and female and 45 years old. I am a very nervous person and had been under severe stress for several months. It was during this time I started getting the eye symptoms. So stress, the mold issue and most likely the start of peri- menopause may all be contributing. Two of times I got the eye symptoms I had eaten peanut butter....but many hours beforehand. One time it was probably between 4-6 hours earlier and the second time, it was about 10-12 hours earlier. I had also had peanut butter in between with no symptoms. Each time I felt fine other than later on getting some eye symptoms. I had also, due to the stress, had lost 20 pounds during those months and once became dehydrated. Both times I had gotten the little bump under my eye (like a mosquito bite), I had been under acute stress both those days. Those are the only 2 times that ever happened. My general physician feels it s all stress-related and also seasonal allergies (I seem to have a little bit of hayfever). He said my symptoms are not consistent with food allergy or peanut butter allergy. Since not having any peanut products, I ve had no eye swelling, bags or bumps, but my stress level is also a LOT lower now. Should I get a blood allergy test for peanuts or is it most likely stress-related or hormone-related? Is it just a coincidence? Whenever I ve eaten peanut butter I always feel absolutely fine afterwards...even relaxed. No other symptoms...no rash, no breathing issues, nothing else. Being the nervous person I am though, I have worried that if the eye symptoms were related to the peanut butter, then my reaction could be worse next time. That s my main fear in trying the peanut butter again (as I said, I had been suffering anxiety and panic for several months, so my thought process became a little skewed). Would love to know if it s safe to just try the peanut butter again or if I should have the blood test. Thank you.
What could be the cause of sweating on my upper cheeks when eating peanut butter? It s salt and sugar free natural peanut butter. This has happened to me for as long as I can remember. When I was a child it would happen to me when I would eat sweets like brownies.
I am 23 years old. I have suffered with constipation most of my life, and been hospitalized twice due to complications. Its been getting worse and the past few monthes I have had really hard impacted feces constantly. I have been to three doctors and all they say try enema's, laxatives, and stool softeners and to change my diet. I rarely eat meat anymore. I eat fiber filled foods all day and drink more water than I would like. The change in diet has done nothing(its been a couple of monthes). The laxative (lactulose) makes me feel like I need to go but even with stool softeners(Amitiza) I am still not able to pass much. I can't live like this. I am recently married and I am mortified to be going through this. Please help...is there something serious going on? Or maybe a magic pill?
My daughter is 18 mos old. The past week and a half she has been having several sticky poopy diapers, but nothing that amounts to anything. They are just smudges. She tries really hard to go but all she can get out is a smudge. She was constipated and I started giving her fiber select crackers and rice cakes that are high in fiber. I feel she s been drinking plenty of fluids. Not sure what the problem is. She seems uncomfortable at times from it, but she s been eating well.

I have had some serious trouble with having a bowl movement, I have had rectal bleeding and serious stomach pains. I went to a doctor had a colonoscopy last time that I had this problem. He gave me mineral oil, and americaine for to use for a form of laxative and for the hemoroids I have. After 5 days of using the two, and also taking fiber supplements, and milk thistle which he had also advised, I finally had an extremely extremely painful bowl movement. Then this is when he did the colonoscopy which was also pretty painful since they could not get me to sleep even though I have to admit the nurse did try and attempted all that she said she could. The doctor asked me if I could stand the pain for another 10 minutes or else we would have to try again at another date. I gave him permission to continue. Afterwards the doctor said that there were no concerns as he looked at my colon, other than the fact that there was still a medium sized piece of stool still inside my colon. I thought that this was odd since i had followed the cleansing routine and stuck to a liquid diet for two days prior to the colonoscopy. Now the reason I am writing this today is because even though I still stick to a fiber diet with stool softeners to help, I have now not have had an actual bowl movement in 5 days. I have had some very painful attempts which produced maybe a dime sized piece of stool each attempt, along with some blood and a little liquid. This morning I was awaken by some bad pains in my stomach. I attempted another bowl movement. I felt as if I was being forced to push like I would if I were having a baby which I know is not a good thing to do.. I tried my best to stay relaxed and not push but the pain was too much I pushed and actaully pushed what looked to be like a tube or something (hard to explain) but it wasnt like the hemmoroids I had already had. This was extremely uncomfortable. I soaked in a bath with warm soapy water with epson salt in it hoping that would help. Now after a long day of on and off again pains and leakage without even knowing it. I am wondering if I should just go to the emergency room. Problem with that is my insurance doesnt start till tomorrow at 8 am when I can contact my Union Hall. I was wondering if anyone had any advice.
