Could Difficulty In Swallowing, tiredness And Indigestion Be The Side Effects Of Caduet?

Recently changed my Lipitor tablet & Zanidip tablet for Caduet (two in one) Looked for side effects of Caduet on inernet, but not available. Then looked for Lipitor (didn t get as far as Zanidip - noticed some side effects listed for Lipitor I seem to have - including - difficulty swallowing - unusual tiredness - lack of strength - indigestion - seem to be main ones. Not due to see my doctor until later in November ?

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
Lipitor (atorvastatin calcium),Zandip(Lercanidipine hydrochloride),Caduet (amlodipine and atorvastatin)
Atorvastatin can cause asthenia/unusual tiredness,weakness,flatulence & dyspepsia.
Amlodipine can also cause fatigue, lethargy, abdominal discomfort, cramps & dyspepsia.
However neither amlodipine nor atorvastatin is known to cause any swallowing difficulty.

Regards
