Could Delay In Period Be A Result Of Stress Or Pregnancy?

My fiancé and I have been TTC for about 9 months now and have not been successful so far. (We have sex maybe 3-4 times a week). I have, at average, a 36 day cycle. My last period was December 7th. My next charted period was January 12th. I took a test at 10 days passed my missed period, but it said negative. I m not sure if my period is delayed because of the stress I was under around Christmas time or if something else may be wrong. I do feel hungry and tired all the time. And my cervical mucous is still very present. My breasts are not sore and IF I get nauseas, it s not at any particular time of the day. Should I wait a few more days and test again or should I go ahead and make that doctors appointment?

Hi,
Thanks for your question.
Pregnancy is unlikely if the pregnancy test is negative.
For further confirmation you may have a blood pregnancy test or a pelvic ultrasound.
All other signs are non-specific.
You may fix a Gynecologist appointment if you have difficulty conceiving or if there is period irregularity.
Best wishes.
