Could Dark Spot On The Face Be A Type Of Black Head?

Recently a small spot has popped up on my face. It feels like a pimple but I got a good look at it today and it is actually a dark almost black color. I don t know whether maybe it s some sort of huge blackhead or if maybe it is something more serious.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Black heads are usually small and are of the size of pin head.
Large black colored lesions are unlikely to be due to black head.
A larger black colored lesion could be a mole.
Every new mole appearing on the body should be examined.
Thus, I suggest you to consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment.
If nothing abnormal is detected, you can leave it as such.
However, any change in color, size, or any development of itching, ulceration etc should be reported to your doctor promptly.

Thanks and take care
