Could Dark Purple Bruising In Lower Back Hip Be Due To Internal Bleeding?
I had a very hard fall down my front steps...I slipped in the rain and hit hard--went down 5 steps. It took like two minutes to get back in house with daughters assistance...by this time I had a knot on my back at the base and about the size of a balled hand. Within the hour I have deep dark purple and blk bruises going from right back hip to top of my butt. I m afraid I have internal bleeding. Could you please help me out with this? I ve had two prior back surgeries...steel from neck to T8 Thank you Teresa

I really appreciate your concern, if you can very well and no difficulty in moving around then may not be anything big wrong still it is highly advisable to get done x- ray of injured part, bruise is very likely to happen in case of fall and this would be fine it may be formation hematoma due vascular injury, hope this information helps, take care.
