Could Consumption Of Alcohol Increase Amylase Levels ?

hello Doctor, I have acidity problem so taking Homeopathy treatment from 12 months and 80 % is reduced .. but when i asked doctor still how long i need to continue medicines, he suggested me to take few tests.then in serum Amylase level is 289, which is very high .. here my question is before night i had light alcohol and next day in morning had blood test, does the consumption of Alcohol increase Amylase levels ?

hi,dr. boskey gandhi is here, s.amylase is indicator of pancreatic disease. so, I think you should go for sonography of abdomen, to see liver & pancreatic disease, as a basic investigation. once alcohol consumption does not rise amylase immediately, but if this habit is for a long time, then it may be due to alcohol. so please take care, & be alert.
