Could Consuming Alcohol Effect Blood Test?

Hello, i just had a blood test to test for RA or a potential thyroid problem. However I had two beers the night before around 11hrs before the test. Will this affect the results? I live in Germany but i don t speak German and as a consequence i couldn t ask the nurse as her english wasn t so good. I wasn t asked to fast by the doctor and as it was my first ever blood test it didn t even cross my mind till this morning. Many thanks

Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your queries, my opinion is as follows:
1. RA or rheumatoid antibody levels do not vary with alcohol and no fasting is necessary.
2. Thyroid levels also do not vary with fasting or with food or alcohol.

Your reports will be accurate.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
