Could Bleeding Between Periods At The Age Of 40 Be Early Menopause?

I am 40 years old and have had regular periods all my life since 12yrs old until now. I had my period in July 17 and started again on August 1. It s been 14 days between periods. I woke up this morning after having a wet dream and an orgasm, went to pee and there was bleeding. I have same symptoms as when I menstrate. I m not very worried but wonder if I m starting stages of menopause.

Bleeding between the periods can be because of thyroid problem or alteration of hormones.
It does not necessarily indicate menopause.
You need to undergo blood test to check yout thyroid levels, LH,FSH, Prolactin and ultrasound of uterus to see for any fibroid(submucous fibroid).
