Could Bladder Irritation And UTI Lead To Kidney Cancer?

I thought I had a UTI, but it came back negative, my doc said it's a bladder irritation, I'm 49, 5'6" 136 pounds. I've had the symptoms before without a UTI and it went away, I'm worried it could be bladder or kidney cancer, my father had kidney cancer at 52. Should I get more tests?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello dear,

Warm welcome to HealthcareMagic.

I have evaluated your query thoroughly .

Cancer from bladder irritation is nothing to panic about.

As there is a family history of kidney cancer, you must get regular follow-ups with your urologist for annual check ups.

Do drink plenty of liquids everyday.

Hope this clears your doubt.

Wishing you fine recovery.

For any further assistance, please contact me.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon

Take care
