Could Benadryl Help The Extreme Itching On Lower Right Scalp That Led To Swelling And Redness?

Recently my lower right scalp started itching, became swollen and felt extremely hot and painful. The symptoms moved up and around my head until my face became swollen, red, hot. My face was distorted and looked like Cher s son in the movie Mask. I started Benadryl and immediately the symptoms eased off - it took about three days and now my face is peeling, as if I had a terrible sunburn. Does this sound like a food allergy?

Hi,
This problem might be due to some allergy either internal or external allergen.
This can be due to hair oil, shampoo or other cosmetics.
Certain food items do cause allergy.
Continue with antihistamine 1-2 days more.
Apply moisturizing cream or lotion or lacto-calamine lotion on affected parts.
Ok and take care.
