Could Abnormal Menstruation Be Due To Polycystic Ovaries?

my menstrual cycle is abnormal .. i has bleed for 2 weeks already .. one week after i had my normal menstruation .. ultrasound says my left ovary is lateral to the uterus with follicles and there is moderate fluid in the cul de sac . the right ovary is posterolateral to the uterus while the right is lateral and both contains about 10-15 follicles measuring less than 1.0 cm n diameter with dense strom a suggestive of polycystic ovaries.

Polycystic ovaries is the most common cause of irregular menstruation in young age..
There can be prolonged duration without periods followed by prolonged bleeding cycle..
you can use oral contraceptive pills for regular periods consulting your doctor..
