Could Abdominal Pain And Urinary Burning Sensation Be Symptoms Of Chlamydia?

Hi. I am wondering if I should go for STD screening since my exboyfriend has been diagnosed with Chlamdymia. I experienced lower abdominal pain. And a burning sensation when I urinated. But I feel nothing now. I am getting confused since it was a month ago. And he just told me the day earlier. Thank you.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Chlamydia is a bcaterial infection which can be transmitted by sexual route.
Thus, if your partner is suffering from chlamydial infection, there is every possibility that you can also contract the infection.
Thus, you should get investigations for chlamydial infection which mainly consists of serological tests.
In case you test positive, you should get appropriate treatment.
Your partner should also get the treatment and refrain from unprotected sex till the infection is clear.

Thanks and take care
