Could A 9 Year Old Lead A Normal Life Having A N Innocent Heart Murmur?

Hi! My name is Sean and my 9 yr. old son was diagnosed with an innocent heart murmur (PFO) 8 yrs. ago. He's had two echo-cardiograms and seems to be unaffected by the heart murmur. As a parent you have many things that you worry about, but I seem to worry more then normal know that he has this condition. Is there any facts that would reassure me that he will live a normal life and easy my mind (stop stressing over it). Thanks!

greetings,
sean first of all as a parent we have a tendency to over think.and that is normal.
yes your child will live a perfectly normal life.
cases with PFO do not present early and also have higher rates of the defect getting closed simultaneously.
in the history so far i have seen so many cases with ASD living absolutely normal life.
don't worry.
regards.
